🎮 Symbiosis
Who gains, and who is harmed?
📖 About this game
A game about relationships in ecosystems, the first lesson in the chapter on interactions in ecosystems. The three kinds are the ones the book names: mutualism, commensalism and parasitism. A situation appears stated without a verdict, the child drops it in the basket of its kind, and the balance of benefit then appears as the proof: who gained and who lost. The situation carries no verdict because saying who gains is the answer itself. The balance appears at the reveal because it is the definition of the relationship drawn onto this very situation, so it moves from a word to a case. Four situations per kind. No sign-up.
🕹️ How to play
- Read the situation, or listen to it.
- Ask: did both gain? or only one? and was the other harmed?
- Tap the matching basket from the three.
- Every situation you get first try counts for you.
