🎮 Round Taa or Open Taa?

Stop on the word: do you hear an h, or a t?

📖 About this game

A game about telling the round taa from the open taa in Arabic writing, the wording of the competency in the Unit 1 guide. The word appears missing its taa, with a picture of its meaning, and is spoken in full; the child drops it in the basket of its taa. The taa is left out of the question because it is the answer: printed, the question would be copying rather than judging. The explanation repeats the word in pausa so the child hears the h for himself, and it is the rule itself rather than a note about one word. The interface speaks English while the Arabic word is always spoken in Arabic. Six words per basket. No sign-up.

🕹️ How to play

  1. Listen to the whole Arabic word and look at its picture.
  2. Stop on its ending in your head: do you hear an h or a t?
  3. Tap the matching basket: round taa or open taa.
  4. Every word you get first try counts for you.
