🎮 Which Repeat Is This?
Scattered, drop and graded
📖 About this game
A game about decorative repetition, the second topic of the Ornament unit, whose three kinds the book explains with their figures: in the scattered repeat the units run on in every direction without limit, side by side and above one another; in the drop repeat the rows fall by half a unit so no row sits exactly above another; and in the graded repeat the unit starts small, then medium, then large, keeping the same shape and traits. Why a pattern drawn in code and not a photograph from the book: the kind is a geometric difference that can be computed, a row shifted by half a unit or a size growing row after row, and a drawing computed from the round’s own kind cannot contradict it. The motif and its colour change between rounds but never change with the kind, so neither shape nor colour ever becomes a clue to the answer. Three rounds per kind. No sign-up.
🕹️ How to play
- Look at the rows: do they line up, or fall by half a unit?
- Look at the sizes: do they stay the same, or grow row after row?
- Tap the kind of repeat out of the three.
- Every pattern you get first try counts for you.
