🎮 How Often?

always · usually · often · sometimes · never

📖 About this game

A game about adverbs of frequency, the grammar of Unit 1 in the book’s Scope and Sequence and revised in the Welcome unit. An activity appears together with a week of seven days, a number of them turned green, and the child chooses the right adverb from the five: always, usually, often, sometimes and never. The week is drawn because an adverb of frequency is not a feeling but a proportion — say "a lot" or "a little" and the question goes back to impression, with a different answer for every child. The whole scale appears at the reveal because the order of the five adverbs is the lesson itself. Two activities per adverb. No sign-up.

🕹️ How to play

  1. Read the activity.
  2. Count the green days of the week: how many out of seven?
  3. Tap the matching adverb of frequency from the five.
  4. Every activity you get first try counts for you.
