🎮 Which Unit for This File?
Byte, kilobyte, megabyte and gigabyte
📖 About this game
A game about the units of file size, from the Multimedia unit, with its ladder taken from the book itself: byte, then kilobyte, megabyte, gigabyte and terabyte, alongside an example for every kind of file. Why the ladder itself is not the question: an order is memorised in a minute, while the real skill is estimating the size of something the child knows. So every description carries a concrete measure, a single letter or one page or a song or a two-hour film, and only one unit can fit it. The full ladder is hidden inside the question because the position of the unit in it is the answer, and it appears after every correct tap with five units rather than four, so the order is learned by repetition rather than by memorising. Two files per unit. No sign-up.
🕹️ How to play
- Read what the file is: one letter, one page, a song or a film?
- Estimate its size from the concrete measure in the description.
- Tap the matching unit out of the four.
- Every file you get first try counts for you.
