🎮 The Digestive System

The journey of food through the body

📖 About this game

A game about digestion and excretion, the life-processes lesson of Unit 2. The organs and their functions are taken from the digestive system figure in the book: mouth, oesophagus, stomach, liver, small intestine and large intestine. One organ pulses in the figure, the child taps its name from six names laid out in the order of the journey, and the organ’s function then appears as the book gives it. The system is drawn in CSS rather than photographed because the book’s figure carries the names written on arrows, and the name is the answer. The button order is fixed to the order of the journey so the child builds the path of the food in mind, not six scattered names. Every organ twice. No sign-up.

🕹️ How to play

  1. Look at the figure: one organ is pulsing in red.
  2. Follow the path of the food from the mouth downwards to place it.
  3. Tap the name of the organ from the six.
  4. Every organ you get first try counts for you.
