🎮 When or Where?

An adverb of time answers “when”, one of place answers “where”

📖 About this game

A game about Arabic adverbs of time and place — the word-classes line in the Unit 1 guide, with the book's own examples of right, left, morning and evening. The test the game is built on is asking a question with the word: if it answers "when?" it is an adverb of time, and if it answers "where?" it is one of place. The explanation runs that test in front of the child with the very word on screen, so they carry away the question rather than a list to memorise. Five words of each kind every round. No sign-up.

🕹️ How to play

  1. Read the Arabic word on the card and listen to it.
  2. Ask with it: does it answer “when?” or “where?”
  3. Drop it into the time basket or the place basket.
  4. Every word you get first try counts for you.
