🎮 The un- prefix

un- means not: kind, and unkind

📖 About this game

A game about the un- prefix, from the Unit 1 vocabulary and the Word Work and Writing exercise, where each adjective is written with its un- opposite and its not opposite, with the printed example kind and then unkind. A short scene describing a behaviour appears with a gap where the adjective belongs, and the child picks the right adjective from three. "not kind" is never written under the scene because it is the answer in translation - the child would only have to stick un on the front of the word without understanding the meaning. The two distractors are the adjective without the prefix, which flips the meaning, and another un- adjective that is correctly built but wrong for the scene. Six adjectives with two scenes each. No sign-up.

🕹️ How to play

  1. Read the whole scene.
  2. Ask: does it need the adjective itself, or its opposite?
  3. Tap the right adjective from the three.
  4. Every scene you get first try counts for you.
