🎮 How Many Times?

The number inside repeat applies to every block inside it

📖 About this game

A game about the repeat block in Scratch, the third lesson of the Scratch unit. The idea it measures is that the number inside a repeat block applies to every block inside it rather than to the loop as a single thing: with two blocks inside repeat 4, the cat moves four times and turns four times, and eight blocks run in total. That is why the indent is drawn — it is what says what is inside the loop — and why the colours are Scratch's own, so what is learnt here carries straight into the program. No sign-up.

🕹️ How to play

  1. Read the block stack from the top down.
  2. Look at the indented blocks: those are the ones that repeat.
  3. If asked for the total, multiply the repeat number by the number of blocks.
  4. Every number you get first try counts for you.
