📖 About this game

A game on the lesson of word classes: masculine and feminine, from the Arabic course. The book text is its rule: nouns fall into two kinds, masculine and feminine, the masculine being what you may point at with haadha and the feminine what you may point at with haadhihi. That is why the two buttons are the pointing words themselves rather than the labels: the pointer is the lesson own test, not a name for it, and a learner who tries it on the word has applied the rule while one who picks a label may have merely memorised the word. Half the words are literal and half figurative, because a learner who only ever meets a man and a woman believes gender lives in the meaning and is lost the moment sun arrives. The precise kind is never printed in the question because it is part of the answer, and it appears after the tap as proof.
