🎮 One Letter Changes It

cap and clap — a single letter turns the whole word around

📖 About this game

A game about consonant blends. One picture appears and its word is spoken, and the child chooses between two spellings separated by a single letter: cap and clap, lock and clock, fog and frog. These are the pairs from the Sounds and Letters lesson itself. The card prints no word, because the word is the answer. Half the rounds answer with the short word and half with the long one, so always picking the longer spelling never pays. One tap per question. No sign-up.

🕹️ How to play

  1. Look at the picture and listen to the word.
  2. Compare the two spellings: only one letter differs.
  3. Tap the spelling that matches the picture and the sound.
  4. One tap per question, so the score measures what you really know.
