A game on the lesson of acidic and basic solutions and its paragraph on the pH scale: every single step on the scale means ten times the concentration, not twice. Why the question asks how many times rather than which is more acidic: which is more acidic is answered by comparing two numbers and never touches the lesson, while how many times cannot be answered except by a learner who has grasped that the scale is logarithmic. The distractors are all computed from the same difference and each one means something: doubling per step, which the book explicitly denies; adding the tens instead of multiplying them; and one step too many in the count. The answer, ten raised to the difference, is computed and never typed by hand, so it can never contradict the two numbers shown. The two beakers are coloured by their own values so the learner sees the strength before computing it, and the difference and the ladder of tenfold steps appear at the reveal as proof.
